Rukia fights with Yoshi, the Bount, in the Rukon district on her way back to rejoining Squad 13. Since Rukia's Spirit Energy hasn't fully returned, she finds herself in a pinch.

Hitsugaya and the others investigate the Senzaikyu, which was destroyed by Jin Kariya and his group. Meanwhile, Rukia, who was injured in a fight with Yoshi, is transferred and treated in the Kuchiki house. Ichigo follows her there and asks Byakuya to fight with him against the Bounts. Byakuya and Kariya start fighting in a forest in Kusajishi. Kariya attacks Byakuya, who silently thrusts his sword at Kariya. During the close battle, Byakuya finally releases his zanpakuto, but Kariya's invisible Dolls bounce the Senbonzakura back. Written by Anonymous

Ichigo rushes to the site where Byakuya and Kariya are fighting and releases his Bankai upon Kariya. Byakuya also releases his Bankai to attack Kariya, but Ichigo and Byakuya are not in sync and can't harm Kariya.

Hitsugaya learns that the Bounts have gathered mobs, so he goes to the forest in Kusajishi with Rangiku and Renji and starts investigating. Meanwhile, buildings in the Seireitei that were destroyed by Ichinose are being restored.

Hitsugaya and the others arrive at the Bounts' hideout, where Ichinose is waiting for them alone. Ichinose plans to detain them himself to help Kariya and his group, who are already headed for the Seireitei.

Jin Kariya and his group of Bounts pick up where they left off as they successfully open the Seireitei gate. Just as they enter, Jin Kariya tells the group of ruffians he doesn't need them anymore, and quickly disposes of them as they try to attack him. Ichigo and the others eventually reach Seireitei with an injured Jidanbo's help. Soifon and the Executive Militia separate to try and find the Bounts. Mabashi and his doll, Ritz, quickly dispose of most of them and control some of them. Sensing that Mabashi has done a good job, Sawatari walks away as Mayuri Kurotsuchi un-camouflages himself from the wall. The Executive Militia reports to Soifon. Soi Fon is poisoned by a member of her punishment force, which is under Ritze's control. Having increased her power, Ritze now can control several Soul Reapers at a time.

Sawatari enters the Seireitei and sees Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the captain of Squad 12. Mayuri proposes that he become a guinea pig for an experiment, but Sawatari refuses and attacks Mayuri using the Doll Baura.

The battle between the Soul Reapers and Bounts intensifies. Kariya suddenly appears at the Department of Research and Development, where he looks for an original crest of the Bount in the bureau and interrogates Nemu.

Uryu is severely injured by Nieder's attack but tries desperately to counterattack, though his bow seems to have run out of power. Yoshi thoroughly revels in the fight in the Soul Society because she can do whatever she wants.

The Soul Reapers of Squad 10 find Koga. Hitsugaya, with all the Soul Reapers of Squad 10, use Kurahito's Bount sensor and tries to capture Koga, who flees the Seireitei.

Captain Hitsugaya has defeated Koga, leaving Jin Kariya as the last surviving Bount. When Hitsugaya returns to the Squad Ten barracks, he finds that Ichigo and his friends have made themselves at home while Uryu recovers from his fight with Yoshi. Written by Anonymous
