Jason Bull is a psychiatrist who works as a trial consultant. He is working on a murder involving the son of a wealthy man. And at the beginning it's obvious that father and son don't get along. Bull polygraphs the boy and when it proves he didn't kill the girl he's accused of killing, it shows he's hiding something. Dr. Bull and his Trial Analysis Corporation (TAC) team must formulate a new defense strategy when they discover the jury has a subconscious gender bias toward their client, a female pilot accused of negligence after one of her flights crashes.

Bull and his team tackle jury bias against their client, a woman on trial for the murder of a star athlete she very publicly accused of assaulting her. The team must travel to Callisto,Texas, when they agree to take one woman's drug patent lawsuit, and besides he must confront his past while in the small small town, which happens to be the town he suffered the only trial loss of his career.

When the parents of a murdered socialite attempt to hire Bull to help prosecute their daughter's working-class fiancé for the crime, Bull turns down a major payday when he chooses to help defend the fiancé instead. Also, Marissa, Cable and Danny try to convince Chunk to let them investigate the new guy he wants to date.

Marissa brings them a case of a doctor she knows who's being sued. It seems like a woman went to see the doctor because she was having trouble conceiving and she was told he could help her. But a complication forced to save her life but also would leave her unable to have children. Bull decides to take the case. And at the mock trial he and Benny get into it which shows Bull that he a big ego so he decides to let another lawyer, Liberty Davis handle the case. And everything is evenly matched. A judge asks Bull to help a man who was in a car accident that killed his wife. For some reason he's being charged with vehicular homicide. Bull's ex and Benny's sister, a lifestyle maven is being sued when someone took one of her products died. Now the person died from an allergic reaction. Supposedly the thing that she's allergic to, is not in her product so she's being sued for maleficence. Bull offers to help but it's very poignant for him and Benny. Because the siblings have not spoken to each other in years. Bull learns that one of her staff may have cut some corners to meet some standards which is how the product may have been tainted. Bull decides to take a holiday and go to the cabin his father had in New Hampshire. He finds the cabin burned down because of a recent fire at a nearby diner. He learns a young man was arrested on suspicion of starting the fire at the diner which also killed the owner. Bull learns the young man is being singled out because of his family, so he tries to help him. He brings the team over to help him. Bull is hired by the parents of a young man who got involved with his teacher and has dropped out of school and is living with her. The parents are suing her. The son is pretty adamant about staying with her. And she feels the same. When the trial begins a lot of things come out like how the son feels about his parents and that the woman is pregnant but who's the father, the son or her estranged husband.
