Even Travis blurts out that he is embarrassed by his dad when Bobby makes him spend 'their' weekend on a stranded boat, inviting their neighbor, Andy Torres, to join them. Bobby calls Jules for help, but when she's late he get's *the* 'fatherly' speech: take it like a man. Jules is as eager as lover Josh for their ten dates rule 'no-sex' to end. As if Travis wasn't miserable enough helping his father move all his stuff as his mother asked, Bobby insists on further father-son bonding, but the clever kid finds an angle to make it work. Jules is desperate to 'prove' Grayson is attracted to her and punishes his infidelity, but this only demonstrates that even she finds him irresistible and discovers the truth about his wrecked marriage. After a scary first rejection, Travis is accepted by two Universities. Jules uses emotional blackmail to make him choose Saratoga over California (as it's closer), but backs down realizing that even Bobby is a better parent by putting the boy's happiness first. Laurie's college lover Smith is back, but she wants to dump him for not being dramatic enough. Travis is worried that he won't get the car he needs now that he's going to college given his dad's typically dubious 'methods' of raising cash. However he still helps out with a near-hopeless prize-balloon-chase and cares more for Bobby's fall than the elusive doe, ultimately rewarded. Grayson needed little convincing to have an open 'no strings sex' affair with Jules, but isn't surprised when she admits she can't continue unless they have a 'proper' relationship. The boys can't appreciate the women meanly paraphrasing their clever 'so she said' game, especially Andy when he treats his housewife to a nanny, only so he can have some 'normal' evenings alone with her.
