Mushroom traces and injuries show the team she was tortured long-term in captivity and transported from an identifiable desert section. The corpse of Alison Bailey, Greg's friend since their research of the Vegas and Sinatra glory years, is found smashed into a wrecked grand piano, abound in a desert junk yard. She was in town to research the life of legendary pianist Ledo Wright, who disappeared for 20 years before he was killed years ago. A curiously damaged acrylic record brings to team to link his story with that of former out-staged mob baron Tommy Grazetti, who now runs a Sinatra show impersonation club. Written by KGF Vissers

LVPD K9 Mike Nelson was killed, but the obvious suspect, his police dog Sam, bit only one other man. Nick takes care of case and canine, working out Nelson's rapport with a drug whore/informer and a dealer. Divorce lawyer Barry Sloan was shot at his luxurious home. D.B.'s son Charlie's popular, respected university basketball coach Tom Burns was beaten to death in the team's shower, after a rude row with main sponsor Jack Oxford, whose son he refused to admit to the team. Found in bed with Vanessa Drake, Charlie brings her home to meet his parents, but shockingly 'forgets' telling that he even fist-hit the coach after a row, while she never told being a bordello mistress and having a relevant lover. the last also applies to the Oxfords. Slum reverend Rick's corpse is found on Warrick's grave. He gathered suspicious donations in dubious ways. The team finds Warrick's ex Tina Brewster lost her nursing job and does a lousy job raising their son Eli, who goes into foster care. Evidence shows she had contact with a drug fiend, who is shortly after also murdered, in his home, with traces to Warrick's former protégé James Newman. At a military crash site in the Nevada desert, eight corpses are found buried, one of which is identified by her pendant as the daughter of Dr. Monica Warren, missing for two years. Illegal methods in trying to prove she was drugged, raped, abducted and killed by wealthy Seattle ranch-owner Tom Cooley cost Finn her job and marriage to local police captain Mike Robinson, yet D.B.'s warnings against new procedural errors which disqualify evidence seem to fall in deaf ears. More girls are identified, presumably all reburied to make room for Cooley's development project, which already covers the old site. Coley poses in the media as police harassment victim, yet comes to Vegas with his lawyer Gavin Pearson and is found murdered shortly after Finlay burst in there. Written by KGF Vissers

CSI patrolling under a full moon witness bizarre events on the Strip. Tourist Anthony Pak is hospitalized with what seems an infection but turns out a mere allergy after being smeared with pigs blood used in a students prank destined to post on Internet. A man's skull-shot corpse is found in his car nearby. City lawyer Dennis Reed's son Bobby is released after testifying he bought some weed from a third streak petty dealer, but that's not what actually happens in the drug trade. Two street prostitutes are arrested: transvestite Josh 'Joslyn' McClure madly acts as if pregnant, Heather 'Chastity' Tile wears the heirloom ring which was Brass's last gift to his daughter before she left home, apparently to 'work the streets' too. A private jet crashes near a casino. The pilot-co-owner was supposed to be alone, yet there are four passengers, as the corpse in the cockpit isn't him, his was ejected earlier by an explosion. It wasn't ignited but the result of masterly sabotage with the mechanic's tools. Possible motives emerge for passengers when each is identified, as well as for the pilot's gay partner in both senses, who was leaving him for a male exotic dancer. News anchor Theresa Shea is stabbed expertly during a 20 seconds studio blackout. Shea was hated by all studio colleagues, from her constantly abused assistant Chad to producer Fred Paulsen. Shea obsessively researching a never identified serial arsonist, which may be an staff. D.B. discovers the blackout was remote-controlled expertly. Tennis pro Claudia Weber's corpse is found by grounds keeper Ernest Prestwich in a dumpster near the tournament courts. Her skull was smashed and her throat pierced, as turns out with a smashed racket touched by her and last beaten opponent Tara Janssen. She was accompanied, as always, by equally devoted father Simon Weber and coach-husband Ivan Cafferty. New York CSI colleague Mac Taylor visits D.B.'s team, fearing his wife, who recently co-founded a restaurant, was kidnapped at a Vegas partner by her partner, the chef, who proves to have remarkable local kin. Perfect gentleman Taylor Wynard spots Sara dining alone in a hotel on her birthday, actually distressed over her divorce from Gil which the colleagues still ignore, and end sup accepting her self-invitation to his room. Next, he's found fatally stabbed there. Her lies by omission render her suspect even in the team's eyes, but they dutifully follow faint indirect evidence suggesting it might be a brilliant set-up by ex-con Ronald Basderic, whom she falsely accused before. Gambling-knowledgeable Greg works out the link is a famous, allegedly cheated tournament final they all were in. A magician and his assistant are also involved. Attending their 15 year later high-school reunion, assistant medical examiner David Phillips follows a trail of blood drips leading to the ceiling-hidden stabbed corpse of former class vamp Becca Sabin. her husband, psychotherapist Grady Foster, may have had most to lose in the distribution of pamphlets hinting at 15 unnamed classmates' embarrassing secrets. Defense is eagerly provided by the lawyer among the alumni, who hides her relationship with 'intruder' Max Dinello, fired gym teacher in a nearby school. Initially he's confused with his buddy, Edward Trigg's son Dylan, whose motorbike he borrowed for an adventurous hike in abandoned mine country. Nick discovers the corpse was near the entrance to a luxury underground bunker home built and inhabited by Tommy Barnes, who deliberately disappeared with his teen daughter Miranda, later found hiding inside, since a false accusation ruined his life in a dodgy trial. Fatherless Molly Goodwin is the only survivor of a plausibly staged bloody robbery in the home her mother Grace and her brother, slaughtered with a visiting friend, rented from their parents, the Goodwins. Grace's bloody corpse is later found in a dumpster, an initial suspect's in a burned-out car's booth. The team finds various tracks, more then one to a mob nightclub owner out to revenge his based daughter, and works out he was tricked too by an enforcer. The Goodwin family also has its own secrets. A semi-professional ghost hunter is fatally stabbed while making 'supernatural activity recordings' on the abandoned site, marked for demolition due to Thomas Pope's firm's development project, where a serial killer murdered at least eight missing pre-teen boys. Is this the work of a copycat, unrelated, or linked in a most macabre way to more boy abductions using the same MO? Greg reluctantly resorts to his own para-gnostic gift, which he suppresses since he chose a scientific CSI career, which now proves dangerous. Written by KGF Vissers

In a few days, several people involved into Vegas's sensual sinful business, including a pimp, are murdered and elaborately staged some days after death. Although various 'signatures' seem to be used, the MO indicates a single, well-organized serial killer. D.B. finds inquisitive, Scotland-Yard-trained reporter James Merchiston actually helpful. They work out that all the victims were linked to 'Brother' Daniel Larson's dodgy sex industry mission.
