A woman is shot. Now all signs appear that the shot came from above. Mac finds the gun on a statue. The gun has blood on it. Mac thinks someone tried to use the gun to kill someone but it misfired, it was used to bludgeon the person and then thrown out a window and when it struck the statue it fired. He finds the one who was beaten, a family court judge. Mac learns that the man is not exactly popular and there are a lot of people who didn't like him including his own daughter.
