All Episodes - S01
EPS01
The guys head to the swampiest state in America -- Louisiana -- to see if they have the skills to get an old jeep through the Atchafalaya Basin. Dave has arranged to pick up an iconic World War II-era Jeep that the guys will use in their attempt to traverse the swamp. With just a canteen of water and a small swamp survival kit each, the guys test their skills to get the 1947 jeep -- and themselves -- through a 50-mile course in one piece.
EPS02
Dick, Johnny and Dave head to the heart of Texas to hunt and trap hogs from an overrun hog population, using only handmade weapons.
EPS03
Dave challenges Johnny and Dick to go car-camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Canterbury-style. At a junkyard, they each select a vehicle to drive through the logging roads, staying at different campsites over three nights and ending at the northernmost tip of Lake Superior. Using only their cars and a few demolition tools, the guys must take whatever they can from their vehicles to use as camping resources for each night on the road.
EPS04
Homebuilder and jack-of-all-trades Johnny Littlefield is flipping the standard survival trek on its head with a 50-mile hike through the most densely populated state in America: New Jersey. Accompanied by survival expert Dave Canterbury and engineer Dick Strawbridge, Littlefield starts his journey in the center of humanity -- a mall parking lot -- and finishes in the least populated place in the state, the Pine Barrens.
EPS05
In Nevada, the guys attempt to conquer a 75-mile trek through the most barren stretch of the Old West, the route of the classic Pony Express. Do they have the skills and the savvy to tackle this bone-dry gauntlet of desert terrain...riding bicycles instead of horses? The journey begins at one of the few Pony Express stops still standing -- Middlegate Station. A high-octane prize waits for the man whose 'pony' runs best.
EPS06
Florida's Ten Thousand Islands mangrove labyrinth presents a tough challenge for survival.
EPS07
Johnny takes the guys deep into Washington's Olympic Peninsula to a 500-acre parcel of land, challenging them to build an old-school logging camp. Each must fell one tree, process it into usable lumber, and then build a camp using tools and resources from the surrounding area. Stopping only to eat, sleep, and complete an occasional side challenge, the guys will climb, chop, and build their way to a fully functioning lumber camp.
EPS08
The guys have five minutes to gear up in a hardware store before facing a 25-mile hike through the Berkshire Mountains. Setting off into untrailed wilderness they rely on their skills, improvised tool kits and grit to get them through to the end.
EPS09
Dave, Dick and John go to Ohio and each builds his own style of brush shelter in the woods.
EPS10
Dick takes the guys to Oregon, one of the forgotten frontiers of America's gold rush, for a mid-1800s-style prospecting adventure. Base camp is a mountain peak, crisscrossed by historically gold-baring streams and overlooked by a mine shaft. Written by NatGeo
