Emmy and Max go to Dragon Land to help build a new playground. Once there, Zak and Wheezie wish to be separated./It's Kite Day in Dragon Land, Max and Emmy go to make their own kites. Once there they find out Quetzel is too sick to help make the kites. What will they do?

Zak and Wheezie learn catching when Zak fears being drenched in sackberry juice at a sackberry toss game; Cassie is devastated when she is not chosen to be in a parade.

Max attends Dragon Land's School in the Sky to help him prepare for his first day of school; a character from Max's favorite comic book series comes to life in Dragon Land.

Ord does not want to go to sleep after he has a nightmare; Max's sloppy coloring becomes a problem when Dragon Land land loses its color and he tries to help color it back in.

The series focused on the exploits of two siblings, Emmy and Max, in possession of an enchanted dragon scale capable of transporting them to a whimsical fantasy land inhabited by colorful anthropomorphic dragons upon their recitation of a rhyme. Befriended by four friendly talking dragons with distinctive personalities, Ord, Cassie, Zak, and Wheezie, they frequently travel to Dragon Land and help their friends in fulfilling particular quests, assisting them in their daily problems, and learning important morals through their experiences with the educational whimsy of Dragon Land.
