Dog show champion Wallace Haft sues the company which cloned his golden retriever David Beckham, physically perfect, but a sweet pet instead of a show winner. Jane still finds a valid complaint. Grayson Kent represents Deb's father Joe, ignoring that's Jane's, in a divorce case. Jane insists on a Chinese wall so she can represent her mother, but soon finds nothing was at the Dobkins home as she always assumed. Rookie Grayson was looking forward to be Jane's second chair in the defense of dating site boss Barry Schuester, who is accused of aiding in ruining clients' marriages, but Kim takes first chair. Jane must counsel pro bono Michael Fernandez, who is offered a meager $15,000 state settlement after ten years of wrongful imprisonment as D.A. Callahan chose for electoral purposes to look no further for the real criminal, who meanwhile confessed and died. Hollywood has-been Larry Baxter hires the firm for series of minor, unprofitable lawsuits, which Parker dumps on Grayson, who feels hounded until he realizes they're both mourning. Jane accepts to defend Phillip Neely's wife Marianne, who was just found out to be an alias for a murder accomplice who abused bail ten years ago. Fred leaves a note that he's recalled to heaven, so Deb's colleagues' memories of him are wiped and he'll watch her from above. Quickly sacked legal assistant Adam Bay sues ex-boss Kim for sexual harassment and unlawful dismissal. Grayson accepts to defend her, although Parker would prefer any settlement, and in the process gets seduced just before Jane can confess her old identity. Grayson refuses to help Kim sue a bridesmaid for infidelity with the groom hours before the ceremony, yet she perseveres by the angle that the $10,000 wedding dress was 'made useless', but the groom still holds a crucial vote. Deb shyly accepts hot Brian Young's invitation to attend Jane's class reunion, only to find he's as gay as charming. Deb's client Brandon Tharpe asked for her, bot the boss, hoping she would understand his carpe diem attitude, which even his son claims to constitute a madness compromising their major lawn mowers manufacturing firm, which he wants to turn green. Grayson gets to watch porn as Parker's old friend Kevin Hanson wants to sue a 'dirty' producer although his daughter Jenny agreed to feature by writing on the day she reached legal age of consent. Jane wants to sue a national fashion stores chain when she realizes that the dress she craved isn't sold above size 10, and almost no other. Grayson is duly skeptical when commandeered to handle the case of Kim's psychic who sues her sister for messing up their father's paranormal business by starting her own parlor, yet can't resist a séance about his allegedly remaining love. Fred is back, having abandoned an angelic heaven admissions career being unable to forget about Stacey, but she forgot about him and his mail-room job has already been taken. Jane discovers that 'she' has a monthly scrabble program with rude judge Madeline Summers, who is bugged that the $25,000 dating agency 'she' advised never yielded a second date and insists they must sue, only to find Madeline's excessive demands, basically for a copy of her late husband, messed up all 27 first dates. Grayson and Kim are puzzled that boss Parker, whom a client demands to plead his case personally against a disgruntled ex-employee who discredits his firm's chocolate snack, demands both of them to 'assist', in fact leaves the pleading them, so Grayson resorts to a daring pep-talk. Jane meets 'her' (not Deb's) self-invited mother Elaine Bingum and most learn to know her as it goes. Fred finds himself temporarily homeless as well as neglected by Stacey and takes Elaine's advice to try dating around, while Tony Nicastro dates Jane, who also pleads the case of the victims of a hospital baby swap in surprising chapters. The girls wanted the case but are commandeered by Parker for mediocre pro baseball player Eric Hayes, who sues his surgeon Dr. Dumont for ruining his pitcher arm. Stacy however imposes her fashion expertise on Grayson, who now dreams about Jane, which slips out. Tony finally asks her out on a weekend, to Napa Valley.
