Ondina and Mimmi run away from the Pod to help Sirena take Zac's power.

Evie tries to adjust to her new situation. Sirena pressures Ondina and Mimmi to change Evie back. Mimmi quickly hatches a plan but it only results in Zac and Cam trying to hide Evie and her new tail while she is at work. Sirena arrives to help conceal her while Zac runs over to Rita's to stop Mimmi's misfiring magic. A fisherman accidentally sprays her with a hose, revealing her secret to Erik and swimming away. With Ondina very upset, the gang discusses what to do. When Cam and Ned don't see him resurface, Cam goes out to look for him. Erik reveals himself to be safe and a merman to Cam. Unfortunately, Ned and his father are convinced that Erik is missing in the surf when Cam returns to the beach without him. Sirena and Ondina decide to go best two-out-of-three and use heavy mermaid powers causing a storm outside. The girls decide to keep an eye on Evie at her house. When Carly shows up, they pretend that Evie is sick but she still stays. Mimmi has a vision of Mako Island when the moon begins to effect Zac. Ondina and Mimmi leave Sirena with Evie and Carly while they head to the island. Unfortunately, Evie sees a reflection of the moon in her glass of water and starts acting bizarre. It's the first day of the new school year and Mimmi wants to know all about it. She follows Rita there and sits in on a science class where she makes quite an impression on Mrs. Trumble, the teacher. Erik shows Cam the photos he took in the Merman Chamber before questioning Rita about her knowledge of it. Zac continues not to trust Erik. Ondina meets with the mermaid council to discuss Zac and Mako Island but she doesn't tell them about Erik and Evie. They give her until the next full moon to break Zac's connection with the island. A young mermaid named Neptina follows her back to Rita's house and volunteers her services to help with the mission. Ondina is left in charge of Neppy but she slips out while Ondina is getting her something to eat. Neppy finds Erik and follows him causing mischief. Evie's father Doug accidentally drops his sentimental watch overboard so, when no one is around, Evie goes in to retrieve it. Sirena helps David with a fish delivery to Doug's boat. While they wait for him, David sees Evie swim past! He doesn't realize it was her but is convinced he saw a mermaid. Ondina enlists Erik's help to try to get David to forget about what he saw to no avail. Zac tries to help Evie find her father's watch before Doug has them go snorkeling together to find it. Sirena wants to come clean to David but the rest of the gang think it is a bad idea. After being mocked by his brother Joe, David sets up underwater cameras in an effort to catch the mermaid on film. Evie is going to write an article on the new marine biology elective at the high school. The program sponsor and director of the Marine Park (Dr. Ross) suggests a tour to the park with the interested students for the following day. Sirena helps Mimmi make a moisturizing lotion that helps keep you young. When the two leave the room, Ondina uses it all so she makes a slapdash batch to replace it. The next morning Rita tries some before heading to the Marine Park for the class trip. Sirena and Mimmi find Ondina's sudden childish behavior strange and figure out that Ondina put way too much jellyfish extract in her batch of lotion. Rita begins acting silly at the Marine Park and goes for a swim where she finds a depressed dolphin named Heidi. Can the gang keep her concealed until the lotion's effects wear off? Sirena goes with David to pick up crayfish from his brother Joe for the Ocean Café. Joe will only give him small ones. When Sirena tells Mimmi, she decides to use her magic to make them larger. Zac volunteers his and Evie's help installing a new sprinkler system with Evie's father Doug. When Joe pops by the Café and in the cool room, he sees the large fish and accuses David of switching the boxes back at the warehouse. He kicks the girls out of the cool room and takes the fish away. When the coast is clear, they go back in to discover Mimmi's Moon Ring is gone. Sirena goes to enlist Ondina's help while Mimmi goes to the warehouse. Zac has a vision of Mimmi being interrogated by Joe at the warehouse and goes to her rescue. There seems to be some sort of connection between Zac and Mimmi, but what is it? Written by grrlpunk

Cam convinces Zac that it's time to let Erik help him. Ondina asks Erik to keep Zac away from the island. Mimmi discusses her and Zac's shared visions with Rita. Zac and Erik head for Mako Island, leaving Cam with their cell phones to cover for them. Evie, Sirena, and Mimmi catch Cam lying about where the boys are so he comes clean, telling them everything. Veridia shows up at Rita's house and insists they all go immediately to the island to stop Zac from accessing the chamber. Sirena takes Evie to the Moon Pool to help her control the moon spell. Zac struggles with the truth that he is a real merman, the parents that raised him aren't his real parents, and that Mimmi is his natural sister. He isolates himself from all of his friends and refuses to accept Mimmi as his sister. Erik tries to talk to Ondina but she won't have it. When David tells Carly that he doesn't want to celebrate the Ocean Café's second anniversary, she and Sirena plan a party anyway. Carly makes David an ice cream cake in the shape of a guitar. She and Sirena hide it in the cool room. Cam approaches Zac on the beach to try to cheer him up. A couple of lifeguards show up and reprimand Cam for getting down from his tower and ridicule Zac for quitting the lifeguards. Mimmi goes to Rita for consoling because Zac won't accept her and their mother abandoned her too. Erik goes over to Rita's and tries to explain the reasons for his actions to Ondina.
