In the wake of Romeo and Juliet's tragic deaths, the Montague and Capulet rivalry escalates as a new royal takes the throne in Verona and struggles to determine what is best for his city.

With Verona in crisis, Rosaline and Benvolio have no choice but to follow Prince Escalus' decree to marry one another in an effort to restore peace. An argument between Lord Montague and Lord Capulet leads to a senseless act of violence that makes tensions between the two houses run dangerously high. Meanwhile, Rosaline finds herself in a compromising situation when her fate is in the hands of an unsuspecting person.

When Rosaline returns to Verona and tries to prove Benvolio innocence, Paris decides to take matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Lady Capulets relationship with Paris comes to a head, and a shocking discovery about Lord Montagues past is revealed.
