Season 01
Season 02
Season 03
The Svensson family has an old, right-hand driven, yellow postal car, which often stalls. Lena, Lina and Max try to convince Gustav to by a new car, but in vain. Gustav is very much attached to his old car, because it's the only benefit he ever got from his employment at the Post Office, and because it's a Swedish car, a Volvo made in 1978. After much arguing he is persuaded to make a trial run with a new Japanese car. He agrees that this car is very good, but it doesn't appeal to his feelings, and he also thinks it's important to support Swedish motor industry. In the evening he has a surprise for his family: he has bought a new car. They are happy and run to the door, only to find out that it's a brown Volvo 242, made in 1982, and without a starting motor. The postman Gustav Svensson lives with his wife Lena and their two children, Lina and Max, in a row house. When the family is gathered at breakfast, Lena announces that she has been offered the job as the head of the local branch of Ekberga Bank. The social democrat Gustav, who believes in the emancipation of women, declares that she must seize the opportunity and that he will support her. At the same time he has a lurking thought that this will bring himself into a more depreciated position within the family, especially when he learns that her monthly salary will be 21.000 crowns, compared with his own 11.900. As Lena now will have less time for the family, Gustav starts to reorganize the family's life according to a timetable he has constructed. This includes joint recreations for the whole family, like playing Trivial Pursuit for two hours every week. To increase his own monthly salary with 3000 crowns, he starts working extra at the Post, besides his ordinary mail-delivery. Written by Maths Jesperson {maths.jesperson1@comhem.se}
