A literalism makes Donna fear Eric already lost interest in her, Jackie convinces her she's boring. Red won't open the door because he didn't pay the paperboy in weeks, so Kelso opens but is mistaken for the cheap bastard and viciously haunted and robbed in his place. When Kelso reads in Boys' Life magazine how easily astronauts get girls, he decides to become one, but finds Laurie has another boyfriend; his evil ex Jackie laughs at his heartbreak, yet after finding another in tramp Laurie's room he apologizes sweetly for having done the same to haughty Jackie. Playing in gym class with super-easy Pam Macy, Kelso fails to 'perform as a man'; the other boys' cruel word puns make him cry, but dreaming about Jackie as his genie cures him- alas not really, and Pam won't even be discrete. Eric lies about maths-tutoring Kelso to get parental permission, in fact to make a weekend trip in a cheap hotel with Donna, whose parents don't even listen. Alas their room neighbors are none other then Red and Kitty, romantic for once. Red and Eric would keep to quiet, but Donna goes over; for his silence to Kitty, Red is kicked out by Kitty and bunks with Eric- when the oldies make up, Eric is locked out, and Donna's parents... Jackie starts to appreciate Michael- alas as a 'girl-friend' with better taste and make up-skills then tomboy Donna. Fez's girlfriend Caroline proves possessive and sort of makes a pass at Hyde. Jackie and Kelso are obsessed with each-other again, but at Donna's insistence, recalling how he cheated, she decides to test his maturity and suitability; when Donna tells him, he tries hard and inventively. Kitty is rattled by her sister Paula, who used to be the family's screw-up black sheep, now returned as a self-made sales rep success, able to repay all her debts to Red's delight. No surprise that Red concentrates more on playing then on selling raffle tickets, while Hyde and Kelso cheat at Bingo to walk away with all the prizes. Hearing Kelso say in his sleep 'Jackie, it's not going to work out', she is determined to get details, so she decides to get him to sleep by reading Nancy and Bett mystery books aloud... Everything goes the way it was planned, until Fez discovers he can't find his green card. Red has got a beta max video tape recorder and insists on taping Roots, although Kitty wants to watch as it airs. Jackie is hoodwinked by a woman who claims to run a modeling agency. Hyde 'borrowed' $50 from Eric to make and sell fake fan T-shirts for the rock band's star Ted Nugent, but left the spelling to Fez, who got 'Tad' printed, and there's worse. Red and even Kitty can't remember how they met... Now he's into it, Michael loves being romantic even more then Jackie, to the point of resisting her wanting to do it right there precisely because he's so romantic.
