To get back the wallet, Fred makes Barney passes as a old poor widow called Telly Shimolstone to try to claim the money. The night of the ball, Fred and Barney fools around with the men while Wilma and Betty get bored of the womens'snobbish gossips. Fred learns by accident what Mr. Slate will be wearing at the ball. Barney's water pipes are leaking. When Fred attempts to fix them, the Rubbles' house gets flooded, and Fred invites his neighbors to stay at his house till a plumber repairs the damage. Barney's at ease attitude soon starts to annoy Fred, as Barney eats the piece of cake Fred wants, sleepwalks, leaves the phone off the hook, and eats a whole pizza by himself. Fred takes Dino to the vet because he won't eat and wants only to sleep. The vet finds a dinopeptic germ in the x-ray. It's not at all serious for a dinosaurus, and a few days' rest will cure it. However, the x-ray blows out the vet's window, and is found by a cop, who takes it to a (human's) doctor. The doctor is immediately concerned: a human, unlike a dinosaurus, will die with this kind of germ, unless he stays awake, and active, for seventy-two hours straight. The x-ray bears the name and address of the Flintstones, so the doctor delivers it, and the diagnosis, to Wilma in person. The girls and Barney struggle to keep Fred awake and moving, all without telling him the reason why. Will Fred fall asleep or blow his top first? Written by Morganalee

After one too many practical jokes played on him, Barney schemes to get back at Fred. This chance comes after Barney wins a jingle contest, and decides to make Fred think he's become a counterfeiter. This goes on as Fred keeps stepping in to pay for things Barney's buying, thinking he's trying to use counterfeit money. Wilma and Betty, seeing it get out of control, think about telling Fred the truth, but out of fear that it would trigger a practical joke war between the two that wouldn't end well, if it did end, the girls decide to hatch a scheme to cure the both of them of practical joking once and for all. He manages to sneak in a bowl and return to her quickly. However, Wilma accidentally hurts Fred's thumb and Barney sticks the bowling ball atop Fred's swelling digit, which Fred then can't get out of the ball.
