David Banner, a research scientist who is haunted by the death of his wife whom he couldn't save in a car accident is researching how to tap the hidden reserves of incredible strength all humans have. While investigating episodes of people who have displayed such strength under times of great stress, he discovers that each one coincided with a solar flare spike of gamma radiation. Convinced by the link, Banner decides to put it to the test when he deliberately doses himself with gamma radiation. Unknown to him however, the machine was modified to give a far higher dose than he anticipated. While there was no immediate effect, that soon changes when on the way home, he forced to change a tire in the rain. He injures himself and the result anger and frustration transforms him into a massively powerful green giant, the Hulk. When David makes his way to a hospital that has a machine that might be able to help him with his problem--turning into the Hulk. He meets a young woman who's crippled and collapses. He brings her to her house and David can't help but notice that the treatment her doctor is giving her is strange. And when David starts asking questions, her step-mother tries to get rid of him. David 'Benson' is saved from a couple of muggers by a boxer nicknamed 'Rocky' and becomes his friend and corner-man. Unfortunately the young man suffers from high blood pressure and is being used to ferry drugs by an unscrupulous manager.

David 'Blaine' takes a job as a valet to investigate the murder of a model that the Hulk is being blamed for. We get to see different accounts of the murder in flashback. But which one really happened?

David 'Blake' is working at an arcade in Times Square, where everybody pays off 'Uncle Jason'. David finds out two elderly men are planning to take matters into their own hands.

David is working as a card shill in Vegas when he learns his Casino owning boss is crooked. To complicate matters, the people holding the evidence are acquaintances of Jack McGee.

Having left Las Vegas, David Banner hitches a ride with a young woman named Joanie who uses him as a diversion to steal her truck back from a gang of thieves. Banner gets caught up in a highway duel between the giant rig and its pursuers, as he and Joanie alternate between driving the truck and the thieves' Plymouth. Written by The TV Archaeologist

Banner uses forged documents to take the place of safety inspector Robert Patterson in order to get access to Gamma ray inversion equipment at a power plant when an earthquake hits.
