From here Karl travels to Taipei, Taiwan and hires a professional mourner and accompanies her as she performs at a memorial service. Karl then travels to Philippines to experience what it would be like for the dead to buried amongst the living and takes part in a exhumation. Karl becomes involved in the difficult task of erecting a coffin in the cliffs.
