Unfortunately, three people inside are criminals, including a female jail escapee who looks enough like Julie to confuse the operator of the only gas station around, steal their car and take the gun, and leave Julie and Larry, the hitchhiker, stranded with a truck with little gas, the keys to which they take with them.
