Don't Kill My Child - This is an episode that covers the horrible crime of child abuse while implying the crime of sexual abuse, a taboo topic in the early 70s, is the underlying cause. The child abuse angle is obvious. However, the sexual abuse topic takes a little insight or intuition. Three points make it clear though. Early on, the grandmother complained to Julie that the abuser's father used to take her to work all the time. First thought today is the not uncommon practice of take your child to work days that early 21st century viewers are likely familiar. The practice by the abuser's late father becomes clear when she tells her son that her father brought her to the same place when she was a kid, a hotel room. Finally, the grandmother tells the Squad the abuser said she figured out that she belongs where she's always belonged, with her father.
