Based on the British crime drama of the same name, 'Touching Evil' centres around David Creegan, a detective returning to work after surviving a near-fatal gunshot wound to the head. Creegan is a man on the edge with a flair for understanding the criminal mind but also has a tendency to bend the rules when it suits him. When he is assigned to the Organized and Serial Crime Unit of the FBI, he is partnered with no-nonsense Susan Branca, who is determined to do things by the book. After being released from prison, a serial killer begins targeting young women and breaking their necks. The father of one of the victims decides that Creegan is at fault and is determined to make him pay.

A couple is murdered in their house, and their young son is missing. The OSC is able to track down the boy, but the situation is complicated when the woman who took him claims to be the boys birth mother.

The OSC flies to Boston, Creegan's hometown, to find a serial killer known as The Blade Runner, who has claimed 7 victims.

The OSC is hunting a killer who is large, and mentally unstable. As the evidence starts pointing toward Cyril, Creegan is determined to prove his friend is innocent.

Creegan is ordered to take some time off to clear his head while the rest of the team hunts someone who has been killing women and leaving their hearts for the men they love to find.

When 3 patients suffer heart failure simultaneously, the OSC investigates their doctor, a woman who is an advocate for euthanasia.
