When Christina is taken to court for fraud Michael speaks up for her, resulting in a lenient sentence and reconciliation with sister Mariella. Back in his church he takes confession from new parishioner Roz Demichelis, a gambling addict who has embezzled huge sums from her work place and intends to kill herself. Michael manages to dissuade her but is exhausted and fails to take a call from Helen Oyenusi, whose mentally ill son Vernon is accidentally shot dead by police whilst threatening suicide. As a consequence in an effort to make the returning Roz feel happier he opens up about a past indiscretion in his teens. Written by don @ minifie-1
