The UCOS team investigate a deadly assault on Shivani Das, who was attacked eight years before on a towpath while walking home. The woman is hospitalized and being kept alive, against the wishes of her mother and sisters, at the insistence of her husband, Milan Das, who refuses to let her go. Assisted by DS Pushkar Guha, they learn that the woman had been married for about a year. Her husband, Milan, was out of the country at the time of the attack. They also learn that Milan's brother and sister weren't too keen on Shivani. When they find that a private detective disappeared in the same area just before the attack, they find a connection between the two families. Written by garykmcd
