Following Selway's sexual assault Yvonne feels unable to tell anybody except anonymous lover Mark for fear that a medical examination of her would expose his DNA. He arranges a meeting with a friend who explains her options but she rejects them and is similarly unable to confide in her divorced friend Susannah. When Selway starts texting her she considers leaving her job, shocking Gary ,and feels guilty when son Adam moves out.
