Bulstrode recaptures Robert and offers him his file if he will trap the apparent vampire Olalla. In fact she allows Robert to find her, telling him that they are twin siblings and she was brought up by Dance as his daughter but now that Tenebrae are trying to bring him back to life she wants no more to do with them. Robert and Ravi discover that giant leeches are rising from the Thames to help in Dance's revival and have an awkward encounter with them, being rescued by Olalla.
