Abby learns that the head is that of a Navy captain who died four months before in the Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland; she also finds a problem with the created remains said to be those of the deceased. McGee determines the owner of the stolen car, then Tony, McGee, and Ziva discover major evidence. The furnace operator disappears, but the gang find him, and they figure out the whole thing.
