Depending on whose perspective, Freddie has requested Stuart leave their apartment or Stuart has moved out on his own volition following their break-up the result of their argument at the stag party. Stuart invites himself to stay with Ash, while Violet, needing a temporary place to stay as renovation work is being done on her own apartment, decides to ask Freddie if she can stay with him, to which he agrees. While Freddie and Stuart continue on with their own lives as if nothing has changed, Violet and Ash end up not appreciating their new roles as the substitute Stuart and Freddie respectively. While Freddie and Stuart move toward being husband and husband, Ash and Violet, who has been dumped by Jess and is still without Jasper probably forever respectively, and who are standing up for Freddie and Stuart at their nuptials, decide to move on with their romantic lives.
