In the 30 for 30 film Tommy, directors Erin Leyden and Gentry Kirby explore the story of one-time heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Morrison in a tale that's unlike any other. Born into a troubled family in the American heartland, Morrison's initial emergence as a fighter was bolstered by a starring role in Rocky V. A few years later, he beat George Foreman for the WBO heavyweight title, and seemed primed for more stardom, even in the face of blown opportunities and upset losses. But then everything changed in early 1996, when he tested positive for HIV, forcing him into retirement. From there, Morrison's life spiraled further and further downward, plagued by drug problems, jail time, and most alarmingly and bizarrely, an eventual denial that he had the virus at all. Six months have passed. Golding is on the run and Anna believes she has seen him but Harry, who has eschewed gambling, resists Eve's notion that they use the bracelet to locate him. Returning to work with Suri and the discredited Orwell Harry investigates a serial killer who murders his, seemingly random victims, with a ricin injection. Partly with assistance from the bracelet they track down the culprit, Amit, a disturbed young man who is taking revenge on those whom he believed ruined his life but he eludes them and the chase leads to a casino where Harry meets Isabella, a woman with a bracelet identical to his. After Amit has again escaped Harry encounters Isabella a second time and asks if the bracelet can help catch him. Ray Penvenen accuses Dwight of fortune hunting and tries to ban him from seeing Caroline but she is far too perceptive and realistic to give up the man she loves. Meanwhile teen-aged orphan and wealthy heiress Caroline Penvenen arrives to stay with her influential uncle Ray, along with her vacuous boyfriend, Unwin Trevaunance, a parliamentary candidate at the local elections. Verity also returns to support Demelza and to reconcile with Francis, who accuses Warleggan of circulating pamphlets blackening Ross's name. On the eve of his trial Ross is visited by Warleggan with a proposal which Ross rejects. Demelza is still optimistic that Ross will walk free but Francis is only despairing and takes drastic action.
