20 year old Nathan is thrilled to start work at the local car factory but, despite excellent wages, he is employed on a non-union, zero hours basis and the job is dull and demanding with the harsh foreman Roy requiring him to come in on a moment's notice. When his friend Wilko is summarily sacked for taking sick leave Nathan decides to rebel and is himself dismissed.
