After Flynn's wounded by Excalibur, and Judson and Charlene detach the Library so that the Serpent Brotherhood wouldn't get it. Flynn, Baird, Ezekiel and Jacob go through a portal and are greeted by a man named Jenkins who takes them to what he tells them is the Library's annex, where they can access information but not the Library. They need to find a way to help Flynn because all wounds inflicted by Excalibur don't heal and he doesn't have much time left. So they need to find Cassandra and stop the Serpent Brotherhood.
