Paddington, now happily settled with the Brown family and a popular member of the local community, picks up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy's 100th birthday, only for the gift to be stolen.

Still pining for Emma, who is now in America, Dan is alarmed to discover that he is to face a disciplinary hearing for his incompetence. Anxious to discover the contents of his file he fails to bribe the scary Serbian janitor Mr Klackov and an attempt to break into the school ends with his being savaged by a fox. Though the headmaster assures him that he is not being dismissed he still figures that it may be time to move on whilst at home he is unimpressed by his mother's new boyfriend Daedalus, or Daddy for short. A young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kind Brown family, who read the label around his neck ('Please look after this bear.
