Immediately after the events of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002), the Clone Wars continue. The Separatists launch masses of Battle Droids while the Republic has an entire arsenal of Clone Troopers to blow them away. However, generations passed and the colony forgot their purpose even as human knowledge of the race faded into mere legend. All that changes when the colony meets a boy with a Gummi Bear medallion which unlocks the Great Book of Gummi which reveals lost knowledge of their past. Now the colony has dedicated themselves to the new goal to rediscover their heritage with the help of a few trusted humans while preventing new enemies like Duke Igthorn from exploiting that heritage to their own ends. Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is an animated series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. Created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove, it featured the established Disney characters Chip 'n' Dale in a new setting. The series premiered on the Disney Channel on March 4, 1989, after a preview episode was aired on August 27, 1988. The series premiered with a two-hour movie special, Rescue Rangers: To the Rescue, which was later broken up into five parts to air as part of the weekday run. The final episode aired on November 19, 1990. On September 18, 1989, the series entered national syndication. From 1998 to 1999, reruns of the show were aired as a part of the Disney Afternoon line up.

Korgoth of Barbaria is a pilot episode for what was originally planned as an American animated television series created by Aaron Springer, storyboard writer and director for Dexter's Laboratory, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and SpongeBob SquarePants. The pilot episode first aired in the United States on June 3, 2006 at 12:30 AM on Adult Swim. The pilot received mostly positive reviews. On June 18, 2006, Adult Swim ran a bumper announcing Korgoth of Barbaria was officially picked up as a series. Later events, including a formal petition to revive the show, would indicate that it was dropped before production began.
