Professor Charles Francis Xavier, who has the mutant ability to read minds, searches for new mutants to train them how to use their powers for good and to prevent the mutants from harming themselves and others at his School for Gifted Youngsters. His opposition, Magneto Master of Magnetism, is doing the same thing, but for evil purposes. He has made Mystique who is a shape-shifter, a principle of his high school to gather evil mutants to prepare them for war against non-mutants. The most interesting plot of the story is that all the heroes and villains attend the same high school. The classic battle of good vs. evil has begun again. Prior to Kal-El being sent from the Planet Krypton prior to its destruction, Jor-El sent the boy's beloved dog, Krypto, up first as the passenger of a test rocket. However, an accident sent the dog into suspended animation until his rocket arrived at Earth, years after Kal-El's arrival. Gaining the standard Kryptonian powers in the planet's yellow sun environment, Krypto soon gets adopted by a lonely boy, Kevin Whitney with the personal permission of Superman. Now together with new found allies, Ace The Bathound and Streaky the Supercat, Krypto fights the forces of evil which include the animal companions of Lex Luthor and The Catwoman. Internationally, the series has aired on Disney XD in the United States, Europe, and other locales on the Disney XD channel. The series, Pucca, itself began airing on television in 2006, with a set of 26 episodes. The second season of the show, consisting of 39 seven-minute long episodes, began airing in 2008 after it was ordered to be created by Jetix Europe. In total, including the previous online aired episodes of the show, this brought the number of created episodes to 117.
