In North Africa, Sgt. Odelle Ballard (Anna Friel) stumbles upon computer files that show a major U.S corporation is secretly funding terrorists. She is able to download the files onto a jump drive, but her unit is attacked before she can tell anyone. While the world is told that her entire team was tragically wiped out by enemy militants, Odelle, the sole survivor, knows the truth: they were attacked by private AMERICAN military contractors because of the information she has on her jump drive. In New York City, corporate litigator Peter Decker (Peter Facinelli) finds himself embroiled with the same corporation Odelle discovered to be funding jihadists. As Peter begins to connect the dots of corruption in the private sphere, political activist Harrison Walters (Jake Robinson) suspects a government cover-up when he meets a hacker (Nate Mooney) with proof that Odelle is still alive.

Sgt. Ballard tries to avoid detection while traveling through the desert with Aslam, her young Malian companion and a caravan of hostile male Tuaregs who are forced to hand her over to Ansar Dine. Meanwhile, Peter takes his suspicions about SOC to the Department of Justice and is later framed for the murder of Lieutenant Gentry. His daughter sneaks off to see Sophia Tsaldari, the frontrunner for Prime Minister of Greece, who's in the city to unveil her political plan. Also, after Harrison searches the city and finally finds Bob, he is ready to address the protestors with the evidence. However, Bob is reluctant to reveal Ballard's email proving that she is still alive and deletes it.

Odelle must prove herself valuable to an Ansar Dine interrogator.

Aslam and Frank Majors increase their efforts to find Odelle; Bob reveals information.

During her travels to a secret CIA safe house, Odelle wonders if she can trust Col. Glen.

Odelle is reunited with her friend; Harrison asks about a story his father left unfinished.

Peter breaks into a data center in hope of uncovering more evidence but his plan goes awry.

Frank's attack on Shakir Khan hits Odelle and Aslam hard; Bob gets closer to discovering the truth.

Luc rescues Odelle and Aslam; Odelle learns of Luc's past; in New York, Sophia helps Peter.

Odelle, Aslam and Luc must decide what to do with Frank, who is now in their keeping.

Peter is brought to his lowest point; Ruby and Harrison go on a romantic trip.

Odelle gets used to a new life while in Algeria with Luc and Aslam, but it doesn't last.

As the world learns the truth about Odelle, she and Aslam hide with an associate of Luc's.
