After the group finishes their first worldwide tour, they find themselves missing out on what life has in store for them at the Palm Woods Hotel, like lost homework time, other hotel guests taking over the pool, and Jo getting an acting job with a co-star who wants to get as close to her in real life as their characters are on their show. It's Halloween in Palm Woodsylvania and the monstrous personas of Big Time Rush come to light. James is a sexy Vampire, Logan is a Zombie who keeps losing his limbs, Carlos is Franken-Carlos, and Kendall is a Werewolf.

The annual Day of Pranks competition at the Palm Woods has arrived and soon a boys vs. girls prank war begins!

The guys are excited to head back to Minnesota for the holidays, but hours before their flight, Griffin tells them they have to stay in Los Angeles to record a three-song holiday EP, and two of the songs have to be with celebrities. Racing against time, they help Gustavo write the first song, 'Beautiful Christmas.' After watching a commercial for Miranda Cosgrove's holiday TV special, the boys and Gustavo decide to sneak into Miranda's taping and convince her to duet with them on the Mariah Carey holiday classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.' After leaving the studio, Gustavo gets hit by Snoop Dogg's limo while crossing the street. Snoop feels so badly about the accident that he offers to record the third song with the boys, a new Yardsquirrels (a novelty band that Gustavo had a hit with in the '90s) song, 'Let's Stay In Our PJs (All Christmas Long).' James' mom, nicknamed the Estee Lauder of the Midwest for her successful cosmetics line, arrives at the Palm Woods to bring James home and groom him to take over the family company.

The Palm Woods school is having it's annual Prom and Carlos, James, Logan and Kendall are all determined to win the prom king title, doing whatever it takes to win.

At the beginning of the episode, Jo is sitting on a chair, while Kendall, Carlos, Logan, and James are sitting on the couch. We learn that Jo is awaiting a phone call from her agent to let her know if she got a part in a movie. However, it is discovered that the movie will be shooting for three years and she will have to move to New Zealand for that time. Because of this, Jo at first turns down the movie so she can stay with Kendall. However, Kendall discovers this and attempts to be extremely disgusting to get her to break up with him. She eventually does on their dinner date. Jo finds out that he was being disgusting to get her to break up with her. The two share emotional goodbye together, ending in one of their famous good bye kisses. One of the subplots in the episodes is Kelly's and Logan's attempts to get Carlos to get rid of his helmet. Lucy, an 18 year old rocker chick moves into the Palm Woods and she immediately blows the BTR guys away by how cool she is. Carlos and James are desperate to date Lucy, while Kendall tries to prove that BTR can rock too.

BTR refuses to record their second album after Gustavo is too hard on them, and the strike pits the determined band against their stubborn producer in a battle of wills.

Kendall, Logan, Carlos, and James have sworn off dating for good until a Pop Tiger cover article has a contest to Win A Date! Kendall and Logan have to deal with odd dates while Carlos has to deal with James' Meatball Sandwiching Carlos and James' Dates. The boys cannot mess up this date because they need to climb the Magazine Ladder! Kendall's date has got the hots for Katie, while Logan's date has no idea what BTR is! Hawk has returned and has a new evil plan to take down Big Time Rush. He plans on stealing BTR's new tracks for their second album and releasing them himself.

Secrets are being kept at the Palm Woods. Kendall and Camille are spending a lot of time together making Logan suspicious. James reveals he never told Carlos that Heather Fox, Carlos' camp crush, liked him.

Big Time Rush has just dropped their second album and the guys get interviewed on an entertainment tonight-type program where they answer revealing questions about their life inside and outside of Big Time Rush.
