Amy instigates an elaborate charade with her friends to get back at a snobby congressional aide who dumped her at a costume party.

Amy employs unusual tactics when she pitches an ad for Mountain Pine mouthwash.

Sonny decides to go home to Michigan, so Kip entices her to stay by getting her a starring role in a TV commercial.

After stopping a robbery while dressed as Buffy and Hildegarde, Kip and Henry (still in drag) end up on the TV news. Unfortunately their appearance prompts a visit from Henry's mother, who's now worried about her son.

Kip's artwork inspires Henry to have it displayed in a special showing inside a local art gallery as an original birthday present for him. Some attending patrons though , are not impressed with it.

One of the Agency's clients whose account Kip and Henry are working on tells them he doesn't like what they did. So he shows them what he wants but Kip, thinking it's moronic, refuses to do it so he walks out. Later he comes back and learns that Ruth has already replaced him so he decides to become a hot dog vendor. Henry and Amy try to convince him to compromise but he refuses. A blind hospital patient who can see right through Kip falls for Sonny. Meanwhile Lily is hospitalized for mono and Buffy and Hildy work at the hospital as candy stripers.

Henry gets left in the dust when Kip reconnects with an old friend who's become a rock star.

Kip tries to hook Amy up with Henry; Amy tries to hook up Sonny with Kip.
