On her seventieth birthday feisty, foul-mouthed widow Mim tells her worry-prone school-teacher daughter Fran that they are booked into a luxury hotel so that Fran is shocked to discover it is actually Mini-World, a tatty theme park Mim had always wanted to visit. A further shock is in store when Mim explains that she is terminally ill and this is the first item on her bucket list. An admission from Fran sparks a row but an uneasy truce is restored as the couple prepare to fulfil Mim's second wish. Written by don @ minifie-1

After visiting a dead rock star's grave Mim persuades Fran to take her to her old Cambridge college where, fifty years earlier, she buried a time capsule. Fran is actually positive as, not only does she have the opportunity to enrol on a post graduate course but she meets her idol, television presenter and history lecturer Mary Tash, who helps the pair recover the time capsule - though it is not as Mim remembered it. Mim and Fran are invited to the wedding of Gemma, daughter of Mim's prissy cousin Pat. Whilst Fran elicits sympathy at the hen night Mim disgraces herself with her party trick and is relegated to the evening reception. However Gemma makes a confession to Fran, which allows Mim to (almost) tick off another item on her bucket list and, after Fran has received Gemma's thanks, her bond with Mim grows ever stronger. Mim accidentally lets slip that she does not have cancer but only wanted to spend time getting to know Fran again. Fran, however, is angry and returns to teaching and romantic headmaster Mr Merdon, ignoring her mother's phone calls. A desperate Mim arrives at the school and promptly collapses. Rushed to hospital she is revealed to have genuine illnesses, leading to a reconciliation, a confession from Mim and the resumption of the bucket list trip, with a new item added.
