The Carters are a normal family from Milton Keynes - until 11-year-old son Harry creates a social networking app that takes the world by storm. American tech tycoon Trent Zebrisky snaps up the app.

The Carters attract unwanted publicity by having a food fight in an Indian restaurant, angering Trent. As damage limitation his man Oliver arranges a sedate At Home interview for a Sunday newspaper. However the night before the interview Liz and Tony go to a spa and Harry, aiming to appear cool, throws a party, which results in the house being trashed. When Harry buys him a car, Tony decides to teach his son the value of money. He takes him to work, but a petty feud with another driver wrecks his plan. Liz and Ellie are accused of wasting an estate agent's time.

Worried that Harry needs to take a break from technology, Tony signs them both up for a wilderness survival group. Liz creates a fake profile so that she can connect with her daughter online.

Harry and Honc are in trouble when a boy Harry met at computer camp claims he helped create the app. When the boy's parents threaten to sue, Liz and Tony make matters worse by trying to resolve the issue themselves.
