After signing some papers, Will receives a car and a cover and is now officially working for the authority. His first mission is to find the person that was payed by the resistance to plant the explosives that got Will arrested. Madeline is invited at the house of an old friend who now has an important job but believes his job would be compromised if he were to be seen out in the open with Madeline. Katie runs one of her first operations for the Resistance. When a fellow colleague is shot by a Redhat officer, the leader of her team executes him in order not to leave traces behind. This scares Katie, who begins to question the Resistance's actions. Meanwhile, Will runs an investigation into the operation, searches the place of the guy left behind, arrests his parents and sends them to the factory. Katie's next mission is to spy on her husband's new leads regarding the investigation. However, Will is a good agent and ends up seizing Resistance resources. Will and his colleagues catch a young guy distributing resistance posters. They get him to talk and breach the headquarters of Geronimo. The resistance continue to fight against the military. Will and Snyder get ambushed when the Resistance infiltrates the Redhats. They find shelter at the Yok, where Katie is also hiding, after coming back from her little escapade with her Resistance friends. When alone with Snyder, Katie questions him about the Government and the existence of other colonies. She also tips the Resistance off about Snyder's location. When Snyder promises Will and Katie to bring their son Charlie back, Katie questions her allegiance to the Resistance. The series begins less than a year after the beginning of the Occupation. The Bowmans seek their middle child (younger son), Charlie, who was separated from them during the Arrival, while they try to survive with meager resources in a changed world that is constantly dangerous despite its urban veneer of order. Will is forced to work for the Redhats to hunt down the Resistance, or his family will be sent to the Factory. Katie, who is (unbeknownst to Will) a member of the Resistance, now has an inside source in Will.

A high-ranking member of the Resistance arrives; Katie gets a second chance; Bram proposes a risky journey.

Will wants to remove the family from the occupation; Snyder tries to protect his office.

After a high-value hostage is kidnapped by the Resistance, the Los Angeles block is placed on lockdown. Season Finale.
