In Winnipeg, Matty experiences full Filipino immersion with the help of Ron Cantiveros, Editor In Chief of the Filipino Journal. Before Ron intros Matty to the amazing Hot Rod (Ron's Dad), he takes him to Jeepney restaurant, serving some of the best Filipino cuisine in Canada. From there, Hot Rod and Ron take Matty fishing on the Red River, teach him how to make Longanisa sausages, get him on the basketball court and finally, cooking at a traditional Filipino Boodle Fight.

Invited by the Long Plain First Nation Reserve, Matty travels to Portage La Prairie as a guest of their annual Pow Wow. During his stay Matty participates in a sweat lodge ceremony, cooks a traditional dinner for a tribe elder, learns to Fancy Dance, and is welcomed to join the Pow Wow's welcoming ceremony.

Dropping in on the annual Elk Island Bison Festival, Matty connects with Ivan Smith, the infamous Bison Whisperer from Red Deer. Ivan takes Matty to his ranch where Matty meets 'Sarah' a one-of-kind bison that Ivan has tamed. While visiting Ivan's Big Bend Ranch, Matty will take in the ins-and-outs and raising bison and also the process getting them to the table via Ivan's butcher shop and market. From Red Deer Matty will travel to Edmonton to meet up with Chef Edgar Gutierrez of Rostizado for an off-road adventure punctuated by a smoked bison roast.

Master Rang makes a surprise appearance at the airport when Matty flies into Newfoundland to shoot his show's season finale. Rang and Matty pick up where they left off in Episode One, only this time Rang's coming along to show Matty the place where he first got off the boat from Vietnam. In Newfoundland, the dynamic duo's tour winds up with them moose hunting with renowned chefs Jeremy Charles and Kyumin Hahn.
