Beverly and Sean are less than overjoyed to learn that though a further series of 'Pucks!' has been cancelled, they are contractually obliged to return to the states to pen episodes of a new show, along with dim secretary Wendy. Whilst Carol Rance makes an admission to Beverly Matt attends the funeral of an unpopular business manager, where the turn-out is poor and where he learns that the deceased stole over thirty million dollars from him. He gets drunk as a result, almost jeopardizing the new series and driving a wedge between the British couple given their opinion of money. Written by don @ minifie-1

Whilst the Lincolns have three networks anxious to run their new show Matt - in the wake of his loss - looks to ways to save money, from selling his vineyard to sacking his beach cleaner. When Sean and Beverly are unable to get him work as he is still contractually tied to them he asks his ex-wife to marry her abusive boyfriend to get him out of alimony payments. Carol meets her new boss Helen Basch and inadvertently admits to Helen that she slept with her ex-husband. However Helen proves to be totally in tune with the Lincolns over the new sitcom's format and they sell it to her. Written by don @ minifie-1

Sean is perturbed when his former writing partner Tim Whittick turns up and threatens a law suit for plagiarism, noting that the script Sean has written with Beverly is identical to one they wrote together but never broadcast. Beverly is thrilled when Matt takes her to the gifting suite at the Golden Globes, where she picks up as many freebies as she can and he uses his presents to mollify his ex-wife. Merc Lapidus returns to pitch to Carol and Helen a peculiar Dutch reality show involving people in boxes. The women buy it for old time sake and then get stoned together with Helen surprising Carol with an admission. Written by don @ minifie-1

As the Lincolns agonize over Tim's claim Carol is radiantly happy to be in an affair with Helen and Beverly notices. Matt decides he should get back together with Diane - for financial purposes if nothing else - and is about to present her with her favourite food, crab, when he catches her in the shower with her current boyfriend. The Lincolns are shocked to find that Tim has the same agent as themselves and confidently expects to be part of the writing team, prompting Sean to come up with a compromise to suit all concerned. Helen is angry when Merc, still peddling his feeble idea for a show, reveals a long past one night stand they had to Carol whilst Matt, still strapped for cash, resorts to desperate measures. Whilst refusing to release an old sex tape he made with Morning Randolph he horrifies Beverly and Sean by agreeing to make a paid celebrity appearance at a birthday party for a tyrant dictator - where he bumps into a former 'Friends' co-star who is doing the same thing. Whilst loved up Carol irritates Beverly with a request for helping choose a pet name for Helen Matt learns that he still owes the I.R.S. big time and considers selling his father Dick's condo. Then he hears that Dick is in hospital and needs a quadruple by-pass and drags the Lincolns with him for support, crossing swords with Dick's abrasive girlfriend Linda. However he ends up paying for a private room and a top surgeon for his father with the result that his plane and not the condo has to be sold. Written by don @ minifie-1

Sean is perturbed that Matt seems to show no interest in the new show 'The Opposite of Us' but when Matt actually reads the script he is keen to have a part in it and invites the Lincolns to dinner with him and his deaf mother to talk it over. Frankly they do not want him in the show and, after various excuses about not featuring star names, they are forced to tell him the truth. It does not go down well. Carol meanwhile confides in Beverly her fear that Helen is getting too serious and has given her a key to her house. Written by don @ minifie-1

Helen gets revenge on Merc by putting Matt forward as the only available host for his new game show. Nor is Matt over-joyed and hopes he can get out of it by selling his beach house to raise the cash for the tax bill he owes. However, on discovering that the buyer is Stoke, one of the young co-stars on 'Pucks' and now the lead in a trio of box office blockbusters he withdraws the sale and agrees to the show, taking out his frustration on the Lincolns by taking back the car he gave them. Beverly gets another shock when Carol tells her that a jealous Helen believes that Beverly is in love with her girl-friend. Written by don @ minifie-1

Beverly and Carol are conducting their platonic friendship in secret and are aghast when a jealous Helen stalks them and ends her affair with Carol - who at least can get back to work with neurotic ex-boss and lover Caster Sotto. Beverly and Sean however fear for their future of their own show with Helen. 'The Box', a cruel game show with Matt as reluctant host takes to the air but an on-screen fight between Matt and Merc proves to be far more spectacular than the scripted show whilst next day the Lincolns and Carol all get surprises, not entirely welcome ones at that.
