Drew is waiting at the bus stop and will be skipping school so he can go to Long Island to meet and get Wayne Gretzky's autograph, since The Great One is in town. Chris figuring he will get in trouble anyway, since he's supposed to be responsible for him, accompanies Drew. Problems are, Drew has no plan to see Gretzky and they end up in Coney Island instead. Along the way, they meet up with Willie O'Ree, the first black player in the National Hockey League and he helps them get to Long Island. While taking the train, they get harassed by two guys and when one discovers he's wearing an Edmonton Oilers jersey, they try to make Drew give it up to them. Chris convinces Drew to do it and when he starts to take it off, the back of the jersey is misspelled; It spelled Gritzky and it has the wrong uniform number; 98, not Wayne's 99. The guys laugh and walk away. When they get to Long Island, they go to the hotel where they think Wayne is staying, but it turns out Wayne isn't staying there. ... Written by goleafs84

When Julius's uncle dies, the family plans to go to the funeral in South Carolina by bus. At the Port Authority bus terminal, Rochelle informs Chris and Julius that she divided their money among them to reduce the risk of them being pickpocketed. Chris is left by himself while Julius buys the bus tickets and the others go to the vending machines. A three-card monte dealer sets up a table nearby and encourages Chris to bet. Chris starts out winning but eventually loses the $100 that had been entrusted to him. Needing more money for the bus tickets, Julius asks Chris for the money and learns how he lost it. After Tasha breaks up with her boyfriend, Chris has the opportunity to escort her to the church Easter pageant. His plans are complicated when he finds that Tasha will be attending a pageant at her old church in Queens instead of his local church. Meanwhile, Rochelle searches for the perfect hat to win a competition at church -- a competition Julius wants to avoid attending. Also, Drew and Tonya plan to cheat in an Easter egg hunt. When Chris finds out that Malvo has been released from jail, he fears that the ex-convict may be out for revenge against him. Instead, Malvo asks Chris to tutor him so he can go to high school. Chris is reluctant at first but eventually agrees, despite his suspicions of Malvo. Meanwhile, Alycia, the mother of Tonya's friend Latrinda, suspects Tonya of being a bad influence. Chris catches a lot of grief for asking a white girl from his class to the ninth grade dance, so he backs out of it, which only makes things worse. Julius and Drew help out a relative starting a business, and Tanya takes up ballet.

Chris wants to buy his mom perfume that she wants - he goes to department store and is accused of shop lifting so he buys a knock off on t he street that makes his mom break out with hives. She takes him and the perfume back to the store where she thinks he bought it and they encounter the same sales clerk who insulted Chris the first time. Written by kelley Hazen cast member

Chris tries to get accepted into the Bronx Science Academy so that he can go to high school with Greg, Julius helps his brother start a Mix Tape business not knowing that they're illegal, and Drew helps Tanya with her ballet recital.
