A high school boy Hanae Ashiya is getting worse after being possessed with a fluffy yôkai. When he finds a notice that an exorcist Haruitsuki Abe-no wants an assistant, he calls the exorcist to ask for help.

Hanae starts to work as Haruitsuki's assistant. Haruitsuki gives an order that Hanae always prevents not to see yôkais except for their client, but he can't.

After making friends with his classmates Saga and Fushimi, Ashiya embarks on the high school life of his dreams. But before he has the chance to enjoy his new life, he's instructed to go to a temple alone to find and return a yokai's lost possession.

Haruitsuki goes to a pharmacy Kiyakudou in Kakuriyo with Hanae, and he forbids Hanae to go around in alone. But, Hanae follows a figure like Fuzzy because it bleeds.

The Legislator left a message for Haruitsuki. He intended to scold him for recruiting a human without a report. When he listens to Hanae's family name, he changes his mind.

At the request of a yôkai, Haruitsuki and Hanae have to find the ring which an old woman has lost, and deliver it to her.

Zenko has been seeing yôkais since she got bitten by an animal. She asks Hanae and Haruitsuki for their advice at school, then, the animal like a fox appears at the front of them.

Yahiko's misunderstanding about Haruitsuki went away, and he decided to work at Zenko's temple for compensation. After that, Hanae comes across a yôkai like a little bird on the way home.

It's unusual for Haruitsuki to undertake a work at human-side request. The client, a school girl watches with unconcealed curiosity to Haruitsuki and Hanae. And her mother makes a great fuss that it's unscientific what they are saying.

Zenko called Hanae and Haruitsuki because Yahiko's body got bigger suddenly. Yahiko told them that it's because he snuck a bite of potato that her mother harvested. They go to the field, and then they find a yôkai like a scarecrow.

Haruitsuki and Hanae send a visually impaired yôkai, Tomori, to Kakuriyo at the request from Okina who is worshipped at a shrine. She wants to see Mundane World only once again, so Hanae lends his sight to her instead of not seeing yôkais for several days.

Haruitsuki visited the Legislator to report that he fired Hanae. After that, he meets Big Boss Scree and children again, he tells them Hanae might have lost his ability.

Haruitsuki thinks out a plan for recovering Hanae's ability. Meanwhile, Hanae is worried that Haruitsuki stayed away from school for several days.
