Detectives Max Greevy and Mike Logan investigate the death of teenager Suzanne Morton in a hospital emergency room after her father files a complaint saying she was murdered there. She had gone to the hospital to have her prescription for antibiotics refilled and was dead a few hours later. All of the doctor's in the case are tight-lipped about what happened but when the detectives find that part of the girl's chart was erased with white-out, they come to believe that someone is covering up. Their investigation leads them to the hospital's Chief of Medicine, Dr. Edward Auster, an eminent cardiologist who had been drinking heavily at a reception just before going into the ER. The challenge for Executive ADA Stone is to mount a case against someone with his sterling reputation and prove that he has a problem with alcohol. Written by garykmcd

Detectives Max Greevy and Mike Logan investigate the shooting of two young African-Americans on a crowded subway train. There are several witnesses to the shooting leading them to hospital technician Laura Di Biasi, a one-time dancer who had to give up her career as a dancer after a violent assault some years before. She doesn't deny the shooting but is claiming self-defense as she was afraid of being raped by the two men. The police conclude that she may have been out to deliberately avenge her earlier attack against anyone and Executive ADA Stone agrees to charge her with murder. He realizes however that should he lose the case, it will be sending New Yorkers a message that it's okay to shoot and ask questions later. Written by garykmcd

Greevy and Logan investigate the shooting death of Bobby Holland who is found on the floor in his apartment. The scene has several characteristics of a burglary gone bad. The apartment is a mess but strangely, money was left in the dead man's wallet. From all accounts, the Holland was well-liked. They also learn that he was gay and had been meeting a man several times before his death. That man is Jack Curry who freely admits shooting Holland but claims that it was an assisted suicide as Holland had AIDS and had chosen to end his life. The case presents a dilemma for ADA Stone who isn't unsympathetic with the killer or the victim. Written by garykmcd

Sgt. Greevy and Det. Logan investigate the rape and murder of 24 year-old Paige Bartlett who is found dead in bed in her apartment. The assault was quite vicious with her larynx having been crushed. The police learn from a friend that Paige worked in real estate and had recently broken up with her boyfriend Ned Loomis. She was seen with another man at a bar the night she was attacked but likely met up with Loomis later on. ADA Stone knows he has a weak case against Loomis and can't use evidence of a previous attack against another woman for which Loomis was never charged. To get a conviction, Stone will need someone who knows Loomis very well. Written by garykmcd

Detectives Greevey and Logan investigate the shooting death of Alan Ralston who was killed in his parking garage after returning home from a party. His wife Janet Ralston survived the attack but was injured in the attack. There were many people on the street outside the garage but no one other than a wino will step forward. They do find a crack pipe and the wino identifies Willie Tivnan who admits he was there but didn't see anything. Greevey isn't sure they have the right guy. Willie is definitely a mugger but one who uses a knife and never a gun. As well, the Ralstons stolen credit cards have never been used. When evidence comes out that Janet may be having an affair with her financial advisor Gil Himes, they have another possible motive for the crime. She eventually claims she had nothing to do with the crime and that Himes acted on his own as she broke off their affair. Willie Tivnan provides the information ADA Stone needs to charge Janet with her husband's murder. Written by garykmcd

Sergeant Greevy and Detective Logan investigate a knife attack on city councilor Chuck Halsey, the apparent victim of a mugging and they eventually arrest two black teenagers. They deny stabbing the man admitting only to robbing him while he lay there. Greevy had heard rumors that Halsey was once a bag man collecting the take at the criminal courts but the man's reputation in recent years has been clean. An eye witness leads them to a mob hit man, Tony Scalisi, who agrees to wear a wire in return for a lesser charge. Halsey had been called as a witness in a federal investigation into parking contracts and it appears that police Deputy Commander William Jefferson, one of ADA Robinette's childhood heroes, may be implicated in the crooked scheme. Stone seeks the assistance of the FBI but their sting doesn't quite go down as planned. Written by garykmcd

Sergeant Greevy and Detective Logan investigate the death of a man found in Central Park. He was alive when found with a cracked skull but has had a heart attack as well. Oddly, his underwear was on backwards. They determine that he had booked himself into a nearby hotel and then arranged for a call girl to visit him. They locate the girl and it leads them the owner of a self-styled catering agency, well-known society hostess Laura Winthrop. ADA Stone wants to pursue her and the case certainly gets a lot of media attention. Her defense is that she was a responsible madam who took good care of her girls. Stone's intent is to show the damage she's caused. Written by garykmcd

Sergeant Greevy and Detective Logan investigate a shooting death involving a fellow police officer. Veteran patrolman Freddo Parisi shot and killed an African-American drug suspect, Tommy Richardson, after the victim pointed a gun at him. Internal Affairs is satisfied but Greevy has his doubts, especially after he learns that Parisi was involved in a previous shooting. It's a thorny case with complaints coming from the African-American community and from the police union. The more they investigate, the more convinced they become Parisi planted the gun on the victim. It's not an easy prosecution for ADA Stone however. There are no witnesses and Parisi's partner is backing up his partner's story. When it turns out Tommy was out buying drugs, getting evidence from the drug dealer becomes crucial. Sgt. Greevey and Det. Logan investigate a possible case of child abuse when a young girl, Didi Lowenstein, is found at school badly beaten and near unconscious. The attending physician says there's no way her injuries could have happened accidentally. When they speak to Didi's mother Carla however, she seems to be in a strangely passive and indifferent state of mind. The police are surprised that little has been done to investigate her situation and even more so when they learn Didi's father Jacob is a psychiatrist. As the evidence mounts, it's clear that Carla is the one who struck Didi but ADA Stone wants Jacob for murder as it was he who actually created the reign of terror that existed in the Lowenstein household. Sgt. Greevy and Det. Logan investigate the death of an artist, Victor More, who is found dead in his studio. It has all of the earmarks of a suicide but More's friends and family say that's impossible and he would never do such a thing. The autopsy suggests that More was strangled while in a state of sexual arousal and the sex game may have cost him his life. The investigation leads them to Henry Rothman, the city's Commissioner of Artistic Affairs who knew the victim. More importantly, the connection leads them to Elizabeth Hendricks, a dominatrix who may be behind the death. For ADA Stone, the challenge will be to get Rothman, who is subservient to Hendricks, to testify against her. Written by garykmcd

Sgt. Greevey and Det. Logan investigate the rape of 16 year-old African-American girl, Astrea Crawford, who was found in a pile of garbage. It take a few minutes to get her to say anything but she eventually tells them that she was attacked by two white policemen. The girl had been missing from home for 3 days and the police soon find themselves up against Congressman Ronald Eaton, a civil rights activist with a penchant to go to the media at every opportunity. The family refuses to cooperate with the police and Eaton grants the girl sanctuary in a former church. With tensions rising, ADA Stone takes over the case but concludes Eaton doesn't want them to solve it. He also begins to doubt the girl was ever raped in the first place. Written by garykmcd

Sgt. Grevey and Det. Logan investigate a bombing at an abortion clinic that resulted in the death of 22 year-old Mary Donovan who was using the clinic's bathroom. In fact, Donovan was carrying false ID and it was she who used a basic pipe bomb to blow up the clinic. Donovan was a supporter of the Women for Life organization and the bomb materials are traced to Celeste McClure who likely made the bomb. They suspect Rose Schwimmer, head of the anti-abortion group of having ordered the attack. When they obtain startling new evidence, Schwimmer is charged with murder. Written by garykmcd

Sgt. Greevey and Det. Logan are looking for Brutus Walker, a suspect bin the robbery of a gun store and arrive at a building just as a man is thrown from an apartment window. Minutes later, police officer Pete Rennick is shot on the roof. The obvious suspect is Walker who witnesses claim was responsible for throwing the man out of the window. As the investigation progresses however, they come to learn that Rennick was a dirty cop who would steal drugs from various busts and then resells them. Logan for his part is also irritated by Rennick' partner Nicki Sandoval who he feels is reacting oddly to her partner's death. Secret tape recordings are key to solving the case. Written by garykmcd

Sgt. Greevey and Det. Logan look for additional evidence in a rape case. Well-known reporter Monica Devries was raped but ADAs Stone and Robinette run into a road block when the physical evidence and DNA tests don't match any of the accused. Under normal circumstances, Stone would have simply put Devries on the stand but a previous conviction makes her a weak witness and less sympathetic to a jury. The detectives decides to restart the investigation from scratch and learn that there may have been another as yet unidentified attacker. Getting that person's identity will be key in getting a successful prosecution. Written by garykmcd

Sergeant Greevy and Detective Logan investigate the severe beating of a convenience store owner. A witness describes the attacker as a man wearing a suit and they soon have Joe Pilefski, a mob enforcer for the Mansucci crime family, in custody. They're not quite sure why a mob enforcer would be beating up an old man owning a small store but Logan realizes that the cigarettes he was selling don't have a tax stamp. Soon Pilefsky, Frank Mansucci's brother-in-law Harv Beigal and trucking company owner Mario Zalta charged with conspiracy. Executive ADA Stone see an opportunity to get Mansucci himself for the murder of a missing trucking union boss. He offers immunity to get testimony but it doesn't turn out as he had hoped. Having been set up by mobster Frank Mansucci, Executive ADA Stone takes a different tack in pursuing him. Although Mansucci can no longer be tried for the murder of the trucking union official, they hope to convict him of kidnapping the man. They get a warrant to wiretap his conversations for a month hoping to get more information. They also arrest his brother-in-law Harv Beigal for bribing a city official and hope that the threat of a stretch in Attica may get him to testify. Beigal flatly refuses to testify but does tell Stone how his brother-in-law Mansucci gave the orders to have someone eliminated. When Beigal suddenly disappears, Stone and the police are quite certain he's been disposed of. Beigal's wife says she's never been involved in the family business and has no information for them. As everyone soon learns, some problems have a way of resolving themselves. Written by garykmcd

Logan investigate the death of 11 month old Andrew Winters and the wounding of his 12 year-old brother Gregory who were shot when a gunman burst into their home and opened fire. The killing makes no sense, all the more so after the investigation of 12 year-old Gregory confirms him to be a good kid with no drug or gang connections. They eventually trace the shooter, a young teenager by the name of 'T-Ball' Howard. When it turns out that Howard was hired by major drug dealer Michael Ingrams to eliminate a property developer who swindled him out of $300,000 - Howard got the address wrong - Executive ADA Stone charges Ingrams with murder, even if the victims were unintended. Greevy and Logan investigate the murder of a man who was shot and killed - including several bullets to the groin area. The dead man is Jose Urbano, a known drug dealer but Greevy is certain the crime is personal and not just a drug deal or some other altercation gone bad. Everyone in the close knit community has clammed up and they face downright hostility from the local parish priest, Father Torres. Ballistics points them to Anna Rivers who owned the gun used to kill Urbano but she claims it was stolen some weeks before. When they learn her granddaughter Lucy was recently raped, they arrest the girl's boyfriend Nicky Guzman. Executive ADA Stone thinks it's pretty straightforward but a high profile Texas lawyer, Chet Burton, is hired to defend Guzman and he's not open to compromise. Written by garykmcd

Greevey and Logan investigate the murder of a wealthy factory owner named Jarmin in the Upper East Side, who was presumably shot by his two sons. As the investigation continues, the detectives learn that he owner was in debt to the Russian mafia which could be one the possible motives to his murder. Written by danny gonzalez

While en route to the Downtown Courthouse, a Lebanese prisoner is found killed in the back of the prisoner transport. Greevey and Logan suspect a Cuban inmate and the leader of an IRA organization. Det. Sgt. Max Greevy and Det. Mike Logan investigate an attack on a man, Drew MacDaniel, found in a park after having had one of his kidneys surgically removed without his knowledge. They check with the national organ transplant registry and find that it cannot account for a kidney that was delivered to a local hospital and transplanted into Joanna Woodleigh, daughter of the very rich and politically connected Philip Woodleigh. The transplant surgeon and his nurse assistant deny having any knowledge of where the the kidney came from. ADA Stone however gets them to testify against Philip Woodleigh who, it seems, was prepared to do anything to save his daughter. Written by garykmcd
