Patrick, Agustín and Dom spend the weekend at cabin to unwind. In the process, they make new friends and truths are revealed.

After reminiscing over their childhood obsessions, Patrick and Kevin (Russell Tovey) decide to develop a gay game app on the side, but Patrick soon descends into a panic spiral when he discovers a small rash. Dom scopes out a location in the Tenderloin for a peri peri chicken take-out window; Doris (Lauren Weedman) is chatted up by a cute political aide; and Agustin makes plans to meet up with Eddie (Daniel Franzese), the bear he met at Russian River, but gets sidetracked by an old co-worker.

Patrick gets ready for his first official overnight with Kevin, who's also agreed to attend Dom's rugby match - though Kevin doesn't want Patrick's friends to know they are seeing each other. Agustin visits Richie to make amends and thank him for the night before. At breakfast with Doris and her new fling, Malik (Bashir Salahuddin), Dom questions whether Lynn fully supports his dream of opening his own restaurant.

As he tests the waters with Richie (Raul Castillo) to see if they can still be friends, Patrick (Jonathan Groff) starts questioning his relationship with Kevin (Russell Tovey) after spotting him at the farmers' market. Agustin (Frankie J. Alvarez) gets inspiration from spending a day at the shelter with Eddie (Daniel Franzese); Doris (Lauren Weedman) helps Dom (Murray Bartlett) set up a Kickstarter campaign; later Dom is greeted by an unexpected guest at Lynn's . On an excursion to San Leandro, Patrick gets to see where Richie grew up, and finally has a chance to apologize for the way things ended. Agustin decides to pay a visit to Eddie after hearing he's sick at home. Meanwhile, wrought over the situation with Patrick, Kevin considers what to do next

Patrick decides to be a fun gay by throwing a Halloween party, dressing up as his favorite video-game character. Agustin suggests that Eddie stay over after the party, but Eddie doesn't want to move too fast. Forgoing her usual joint costume with Dom, Doris agrees to a couples costume with Malik (Bashir Salahuddin), though she's hesitant to define their relationship. Eddie brings a friend to the party for Patrick, who's distracted by Richie and his new beau, Brady (Chris Perfetti).

After Doris' father dies, Patrick and Dom accompany her on a trip to his funeral.

Patrick and Kevin attend a gay gaming convention. Agustín struggles with Eddie's positive status.

Patrick's mother forces him to spend a day at the zoo with her and his judgmental sister, Dom encounters unexpected money problems which puts pressure on his friendship with Doris, and Agustín runs into a face from the past.

Patrick makes a discovery which leads him to question his relationship with Kevin, Dom reaches out to Malik in an effort to reconcile with Doris, and Agustín and Eddie attend the unveiling of the homeless shelter's mural.
