Fiona Fitzgerald goes out to get the morning newspaper and doesn't return; Distraught husband Kevin summons son Brendan and his pal Eddie home to look for her; Brendan is shocked to learn who his dad's business partner is.

Mrs. Fitzgerald has been missing for two days. Eddie thinks his cop connection might be able to help find her. But Lt. Alex Miigs may actually be responsible for her disappearance.

Eddie somehow manages to survive the night with a distraught, gun-toting Kevin Fitzgerald, who has been drinking for days. Showing up at Miigs's house the next morning, Eddie does have hostage Fiona Fitzgerald's life-saving pillbox, but he's in really bad shape. Jackie, in charge while Lt. Miigs is off at work, offers Eddie her own brand of TLC. Meanwhile, Lt. Miigs is investigating a potentially bad cop when Brendan Fitzgerald shows up at the LAPD station to report his mother's disappearance. Back at the house, Fiona thinks Kevin has stopped by for a visit. Is this her Alzheimer's playing tricks or is Kevin really there attempting to rescue his wife? Written by Dave Bean
