While Zane had been fighting off the overlord and sacrificed himself for his brothers, Kai, cole and jay all went there own ways, while Lloyd had tried to get them back together to be a team. The four of them were sent a message left outside Chens noodle hut the message said zanes alive but only one way to get Zane back was to win chens elemental tournament, the four ninja decided to fight for Zane. Garmadon had found out and decided to join there dangerous journey...

The ninja discover that the tournament isn't about glory, but about Chen stealing everyone's elemental powers.

To drive the Ninja apart, Chen and Clouse put Jay and Cole to face eachother.

In the last round of Phase One, the elemental masters compete in the Thunderblade, where Lloyd must compete against the master of form.

With only 8 people left in the tournament, the ninja discover a spy among the competitors.

Chen decides that it is time to end the tournament tricking all the elemental fighters into a round where no one wins.

With all of the elemental masters captured, Lloyd must find a way to save everyone. Meanwhile, Cole and Zane think of ways to escape.

While the Ninja control the island, Chen figures out Skylor can complete the Spell. The Ninja figure out there Elemental Dragons.

With Chen having turned his cultists into anacondrai, he soon realises that the spell isnt permanent and the final ingredient is the sweat of a true anacondrai. As all eyes are turned to Pythor, the Ninja and Chen's cultist race against time to get to Pythor before it is too late.

With the elemental alliance scattered across Ninjago and Chen having discovered how to make the spell permanent, the balance is at risk as Garmadon makes his last stand against evil at the corridor of elders.
