The Gang finally get invited to the Catalina Classic Paddleboard Race with Ray and Tito. - Reggie decides to write an article in her Zine on the Top Extreme Athlete of Ocean Shores, which gets all the local kids competing for the title.

As expected, the town is immediately inundated with teenagers, camera crews, bands, etc. While most of the gang hopes to rub elbows with visiting celebrities or get a little a face-time on TV, Reggie remains nonplused by the media circus.

Ray, Otto, and Reggie learn a valuable Christmas lesson after spending too much time trying to make money for Christmas presents and arguing with each other over silly things.

Reggie meets and starts hanging with a new girl, Carla. Although Carla's equipment is a little shoddy, she keeps up with the gang. Reggie starts to get suspicious when Carla doesn't invite her over to her house and avoids questions about her family.

The highly anticipated grand opening of Zero Gravity Zone is finally within sight, Tito moves in with the Rockets, and Ray and Noelani's wedding is not far behind.
