Sue Thomas, a deaf woman with an extraordinary ability to read lips, moves to Washington, D.C to begin her new job as a F.B.I agent. However when she arrives she finds out that the job is not as exciting as she would have hoped.

Now that Sue is an official member of the team, Jack is beginning to train her and he's got the perfect case to start with: a anonymous bomb threat against an old F.B.I agent.

While trying to protect an Afghan leader, the F.B.I team loses their primary assassin. But just when they think all hope is lost, another possible assassin is tracked down and put under surveillance, generating some interesting results.

After Jack and Bobby catch a steroid drug dealer they, along with Sue, interrogate him in order to catch other dealers in the trade. Meanwhile, the rest of the team sets their eyes on the brand new offices on the fifth floor.

Having been handed a case concerning a well known convict, the F.B.I team tries to get closer to the criminal through his partner, who happens to be deaf. Sue's initial attempts to get through to the partner seem bleak at first, creating a not-so-nice first impression with the team's new boss. Written by Nadia Nassar

In the middle of the Christmas season, a mysterious Santa has been robbing banks with a few little helpers. Bobby tries to present a good image to the press but a determined reporter is eager to attack the F.B.I and Sue's rocky relationship with her mother ensues when her parents stay over. After Bobby tries to prevent a man from attacking a woman, he is soon suspended from the F.B.I when the man turns out to be a Sudanese diplomat with immunity from U.S law enforcements. The F.B.I races against time track down a crate of strontium which they believe will be used to make a large nuclear bomb. Lucy fears for her family who will be coming into town for her sister's wedding.

Two security trucks, carrying a great deal of money, and their drivers go missing while on the job. While Jack and the rest of the team search for them, Sue helps Lucy with her sign language when the two go to a deaf club where speaking is not permitted. Written by Nadia Nassar

When an unsuccessful raid by the F.B.I coincides with the disappearance of one of Sue's informants, the team initially suspects terrorists as the source of the leak. But soon it seems that a Wisconson senator is behind it.

The F.B.I team's favorite waitress, Kitty Chen, seems to be involved in software piracy and has been using Tara's business card in the process. After further investigation, the case appears to be connected to some drug dealers. In the meantime, Myles is being considered for the candidacy for the new face of the F.B.I. Trying to catch a long wanted criminal, the F.B.I team must use a jail bound con man in order to get him. Unfortunately, their informant happens to be Bobby's criminal father who he is less than happy about working with.

Sue and Myles are assigned to a special task force trying to take down a South American drug group but things start to go wrong when an agent is killed in the field and Sue is blamed. With Troy and Charlie's help however, the team might just be able to remove the blame. Written by Nadia Nassar

Lucy's mom announces that she is engaged while the F.B.I looks into the shooting of a judge who is a friend of Jack's by a young man, Billy, who also happens to be a friend of Jack's.
