Barrister Jonathan Moxton is discovered battered to death, nude and tied to his bed, on the face of it a sex game gone wrong. Schizophrenic Saul Hammond found the body in response to the victim's screams and rang the police. Still covered in blood he claims he hears somebody in the house when he went to investigate but, with no evidence, Martha releases him , to the annoyance of Jack, who is convinced Saul is the culprit as he had argued with Jonathan over closure of the hostel where he lives. Then the police discover that a man called Mick Shaw has been blackmailing Jonathan's wife Tanya over her past as a prostitute and Jonathan himself over his gay affair with teen-ager Nate Turner. Nate is arrested but whilst he is in custody the body of Michael Collins is found in a gay cruising area, killed in the same way as Jonathan. Written by don @ minifie-1

As forensics prove the hammer was used in both attacks Charlie discovers that Michael Collins' sister Carol, a drug use, argued with him as she was stealing their invalid father's benefits to feed her habit. However she denies killing him. Daley Black is arrested for selling Michael's phone and is proved to know Jonathan, who rebuffed him, and Nate. The police believe that Daley and Nate worked together robbing closet gays and selling their property. Witnesses report that there was also a woman involved. Could she be the killer and is she Tanya, Carol or Saul's friend Sadie who may have been exploiting his mental state to make him believe himself the murderer. Written by don @ minifie-1

Scott Freeman, a widower with two teenaged girls, is battered to death on a tow path. Masquerading as a young girl on the Internet he had been hunting down paedophiles, hopefully catching the man who , nine years earlier, raped his younger daughter Rose whilst she was in Brighton for a dance contest run by Edward and Tamsin Shaffer. Scott's computer shows that he met Dr Philip Cleaving on the tow path but Cleaving insists he left Scott alive. Cleaving ultimately admits his part in Rose's rape but Edward Shaffer was also placed at the scene, though he denies involvement. A blood-stained towel in the Shaffers' garbage appears to link him to Scott's murder but then Edward is also killed. Written by don @ minifie-1

Following her husband's apparent murder Tamsin reports having had many death threats and a student called Justin Marecroft has phoned Edward frequently though he claims that it was to cancel a party at the Shaffers' dance school. At the same time Shaffer's computer shows evidence of men abusing missing school-boy Andre Gatting, who left home after arguing with his mother Tracey. Homeless Jeff Patterson has Andre's school-bag, which he said the boy left with him whilst he handed out leaflets though Charlie finds out that Jeff had to leave his teaching job after a girl claimed he molested her. A suspect is linked to Andre's abduction and charged with killing Shaffer to prevent him naming the other group members - one of whom is still at large with Andre and must be found.
