Elaine Nardo starts seeing a man named Kirk, who it turns out is actually homosexual and attracted to Tony Banta. After he tells Tony he's interested, Tony later begs Alex Reiger to help him let the guy down easy. Alex meets Kirk at a local gay bar and they await Tony's arrival. This show is known better, by fans, for the hilarious scene where Alex is asked to dance by another man. A man shows up at the garage looking for Jim. When he finally meets Jim, he informs him that his father hired him to find Jim and to tell him that his father would like to see him. Jim of course is uncertain if he wants to. The man gives him a packet that has his travel arrangements. It says that he can bring someone along and he asks Alex to accompany him. After reading the newspaper and seeing another nasty review of a play by powerful critic, John Bowman, Bobby decides to compose a letter attacking Bowman, only to reconsider and throw it in the trash. When Louie recovers the letter and sends it to the newspaper, it unexpectedly creates positive buzz for Bobby and his acting career.
