David accidentally befriends a depressed Rock star called Lisa Swan who is being dominated by her manager/sister.

David has been staying with a soldier. When the soldier wakes up one night and learns he's blind, he tells David that earlier he tagged along with a man who was disposing of things from the base and among them is a tank. He thinks the tank may have had a gas in it. David tries to recover it but someone takes it away from him. It seems like the tank contained a chemical weapon. When the base commander learns of this, feeling that this whole thing shouldn't jeopardize his career wants it keep quiet. That's why he sent the man to recover and dispose of it. David then goes to see the base doctor and tells him about it. Suddenly David goes blind. While the commander doesn't want to tell David anything, the doctor does like the fact that the formula he's working on is the antidote.
