Jack has a date scheduled with Linda, but Larry sets him up with a new girl named Samantha. Not resisting Larry's offer, Jack calls Linda to cancel their date, claiming he is sick with the cold. He then spends the evening alone with Samantha, who thinks Jack's leaves by himself. The date gets a little out of hand when Janet and Chrissy return home. Written by Oliver Chu

Janet begins to feel like her life is lacking something due to her reliable image. The last straw comes when Larry invites her, Jack and Chrissy to brunch at a Persian restaurant, but she can't go because she has to wait for the telephone repairman to arrive. She then decides to break away from her wholesome image by joining a bunch of nudists at the beach with Mrs. Roper, who also feels neglected, especially when she finds out that Stanley was ogling all the nude women. Unfortunately, the police arrive and break up the protest and when Jack, Chrissy, Larry and Mr. Roper find out they rush to the police station to see if they can bail Janet and Helen out of jail. Chrissy gets hired to type up the diary of a person named Wanda X. Jack and Janet read it and they are shocked with its rather X-rated stories of Wanda's affairs with various men. Unfortunately, Roper finds the pages that Chrissy has typed and now thinks that she is a nymphomaniac. Worse yet, he thinks that she is in love with him and wants to have an affair with him. Stanley got into an argument with his best friend, Jerry, because he wouldn't buy him a drink as promised when Mr. Roper won a bowling contest. Upset on seeing his changed behavior, Helen plans to discuss the situation with Jerry without Stanley knowing. Helen asks the kids to lent her and Jerry their apartment so they could meet privately. Janet's sister Jenny pays a visit and will be staying in Jack's bedroom during her stay while Jack sleeps on the sofa. Janet asks Jack to take Jenny out and show her the sights. Janet, though, is very over-protective of her sister and wants Jack to make sure that their night out would just be a simple little date. When Janet and Jenny were out late, Janet gets upset. Chrissy is feeling down because she thinks she does not have enough personality. She soon thinks her problems might be solved when she meets a guru at the Reagle Beagle, who wants her to join his cult. Jack and Janet are, however, suspicious of the guru's intentions. Larry plans to get married and introduces his bride-to-be, Gloria, to Jack, Janet and Chrissy. When Jack was alone in the kitchen preparing the food, Gloria comes in, informs Jack that they went to high school together and makes a pass at him. After Jacks later tells the girls what happened, they urge Jack to tell Larry the truth in hopes of getting him out of the wedding. A 13 year-old girl named Laurie visits the Ropers after her parents, family friends of the Ropers, get a divorce. They try to entertain and cheer Laurie up, but to no avail. Therefore, she takes Laurie to visit the kids. Janet and Chrissy didn't get through with Laurie; however, when she meets Jack, Laurie falls heads up heels for him. Written by Oliver Chu

Janet's prized pen she received as a graduation gift is missing, and Jack saw Chrissy take money out of his room. Therefore, they suspect that Chrissy might be a kleptomaniac. Later, when Jack and Janet noticed that Chrissy came home wearing a shawl that belonged to Mrs. Roper, they panic and attempt to hide the shawl from Mr. Roper, who was fixing something in the kids' kitchen. The kids are planning a party and prepared loads of food and wine for the occasion. When Mr. Roper spotted all the food, he forbids them from having the event. Chrissy then appeals to Mrs. Roper and invites her to the party, who agrees to attend. When that didn't appease Mr. Roper, he sabotages the party and turn away all of the invitees. Janet and Chrissy's old roommate, Eleanor, pays a visit. Meanwhile, Jack tells the girls that he received an 'A' on a cooking test. However, he believes Eleanor is stealing his thunder when she and Janet and Chrissy reminisce about old times instead. In addition, Jack thinks Eleanor is returning for good, feeling he will have to move out of the apartment. Stanley is fixing the sink pipe in his bathroom, which connects to the one in the kids' bathroom in their upstairs apartment. While Jack, Chrissy and Linda are in the bathroom chatting while prepping themselves for work, Stanley overhears their conversations through the pipe and eavesdrops. The following day, Chrissy comes home and complains to Jack and Linda that her hand is infected with a wart. While in the bathroom discussing ways to treat the wart, but Stanley overhears them incorrectly and thinks Chrissy is pregnant. Written by Oliver Chu

When Crissy's boss asks her to look for a caterer for a party she is throwing at the office. And she recommends Jack. When she tells Jack, he is elated except for the fact he doesn't have enough money. The girls suggest he use the rent money and he can use the money that he will get paid with to pay the rent. So they agree to it. But at the party, Crissy is being hit on by a lecherous man. Jack comes in and does something. He later learns that he is the President of the company and after what happened refuses to pay Jack. Crissy's boss knows he is a creep and only wished that his wife would catch him in the act. Janet spots a mouse in her bedroom and is too afraid to sleep in her bed. Jack offers his room for Janet to use until the mouse is caught. In the meantime, Jack doesn't feel comfortable sleeping on the sofa for several days and tries to coerce Chrissy in letting him sleep in Janet's bed. Janet met a guy, Greg, in her flower shop and invited him to her apartment for a simple date. Wanting to be alone with Greg, Janet asks Chrissy and Jack to be out for the night. Before they leave the apartment, Jack falls down the stairs and breaks his leg. It is the Ropers' wedding anniversary and Stanley is planning a big surprise for Helen. When Stanley visits the kids' apartment, he drops clues about his big surprise. However, the kids think that Stanley is going to leave Helen for another woman. As a result, Chrissy and Janet attempt to tell Helen what they think Stanley is planning to do, and Jack tells Stanley that Helen is a wonderful woman and should make her happy. Written by Oliver Chu

Larry offers a job for Jack to be a live-in cook for his boss and his wife, the Laytons. While Jack is not too thrilled about the idea at first, he later seriously considers it when he gets into an argument with Janet and Chrissy. He, therefore, moves out and gets dinner for the night for the Laytons. However, Jack got more than he bargained for when Mrs. Layton makes passes at him, and Janet and Chrissy are stuck in the apartment trying to learn how to cook and learn how to protect themselves. When he invites Debbie over to his apartment for a cooking project, he has Janet and Chrissy take off as he believes Debbie wouldn't approve of a man living with two girls.
